This blender has plenty of power. The jug comes with measurements which is useful and the jug and food processor attachments have lids. Everything except the motorised part is dishwasher safe. This is my best stick blender yet!

I bought this to replace the one I had been given as a wedding present in 2001. By the end, I only had the stick blender working (after 19 years), but it was a fantastic gift. A few years ago I fell for the gorgeous red KitchenAid cordless version. It is very underpowered compared to this Bosch one, and actually charging and inserting the battery is much more hassle than plugging this one in.

The motor on this product is strong and works well.
However, two parts are not allowed to be washed. The hand blender gear stick - which I can understand. But the lid of the container in which you do the processing cannot be washed either. So, if you are processing strong smelling food like garlic and onions, then this smell stays even though you obviously wipe the lid. My previous set allowed the lid to be washed, and thus avoided contamination to more delicate type of foods to be processed e.g. apple or fruits. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have bought the set. Read more
